Double Elimination
The classic: a team is out after two losses. With 8 pairs at 2 boards, 14 matches result (15th if reset final). Wait times occur when one board finishes earlier – plan buffers.
Swiss System
Makes sense if every pair should play the same number of matches. Each round new pairings are formed by points; no early elimination.

Drop to loser bracket: Team B loses to A
Team A wins 21:17 (final score entered in app). Team B drops to the loser bracket and faces the loser of C vs D. B's next match appears in the schedule with board and time. No toss capture in the app – only the final score 21:17 is stored.

Final & reset final
Undefeated team (e.g., A) meets the loser-bracket winner (e.g., F) in the final. If A wins → tournament ends (14 matches). If F wins → reset final required, as both teams now have one loss each (15th match). The app maps the bracket down to 4th place; 3rd/4th place matches are optional.

Which format is best for Cornhole?
Double elimination is an available generic format, not a Cornhole rule module. Choose it if your house rules call for elimination after a set number of losses. Swiss system works well when all pairs should play the same number of matches.
Can I enter Cornhole scores?
An authorized organizer can enter a generic numeric final result (e.g., 21:17). The app does not enforce a 21-point target, cancellation scoring, or toss-by-toss capture; agree on those house rules beforehand and resolve disputes outside the app.
Does the app capture individual tosses or cancellation scoring?
No. The app offers no toss capture, no cancellation scoring, and no 21-point validation. It only stores the numeric final result of a match. The Cornhole-specific evaluation (bags in the hole, on the board, difference calculation) remains the organizer's task.
How does board assignment work with 2 boards and 8 pairs?
In double elimination with 8 pairs, max. 2 matches run in parallel (one per board). The schedule shows which pair plays on Board 1 and which on Board 2. Wait times arise when matches vary in length – allow approx. 15–20 min per match plus changeover time.
