In the Swiss system, all 24 players compete over 6 rounds – 72 matches in total, with 12 running in parallel per round. The key difference from a knockout: nobody is eliminated, every player plays all 6 rounds. Round 1 is drawn at random; from round 2 on, players with similar scores meet each other – producing closely matched games. The round count 6 matches the app's default (base-2 logarithm of the player count rounded up, plus one); it can be changed freely and does not guarantee a sole or clear winner. When points are tied, the ranking depends on the tournament's tiebreak rules; Buchholz is one possible rule, not an automatically promised feature.

Pure playing time depends on the number of parallel fields and the game length. The games of a round run in parallel, the rounds run one after another. As nobody is eliminated, every round takes the same time. Plan extra time for breaks, setup and teardown.
