In a team competition, 24 teams play each other in league mode – everyone against everyone over 23 matchdays and 276 team ties. In the worked example each tie consists of 4 single matches (four members per team); the results are combined into an overall ranking. Over the whole tournament that makes 1104 individual matches.

With 24 teams there are 276 ties, as each pair meets exactly once. Each tie consists of 4 individual matches: 276 × 4 = 1104 matches, spread across 23 matchdays.
With 24 teams the competition runs as a league – everyone against everyone over 23 matchdays. That gives 276 team ties with 4 single matches each (worked example: four members per team). Over the whole tournament that makes 1104 individual matches. Example of one tie: A1 beats B1, B2 beats A2, A3 beats B3 and A4 beats B4 – the team result is 3:1, because the individual matches won are what counts. The table then calculates the points using the chosen scoring (default 3-1-0); at 2:2 the tie is a draw.

Because every tie consists of several individual matches, 24 teams add up to a lot of games. How long that takes depends above all on the number of courts. The values show the pure playing time – plan extra time for breaks and lineup changes.

In a team competition, teams face each other. Each round consists of multiple individual matches – the overall result determines the team's victory or defeat.
Team size is freely selectable. Each tie produces as many single matches as there are members in the larger of the two squads (A1 against B1 and so on); the 4 singles per tie on this page are a worked example with four members per team.
