Describe your tournament in the assistant: format, team count and optionally fields, start time, match duration and break. Turniermeister is connected via MCP and prepares the tournament. Details you do not name are not invented.
The assistant gives you a claim link. The preview shows tournament name, format and team count. Nothing is in your account yet. The link is valid for 14 days.
Sign in or create an account and click “Take over tournament”. It then becomes a regular tournament in your account with the schedule created. Check fields, match duration, break and times in the settings before the first match starts.

Name, knockout format (mode 0), 8 teams, 2 fields, start 09:00, match duration 15 min, break 5 min. Team names only if you name them. Details you do not name stay at app defaults.
Knockout with 8 teams = 7 matches: 4 quarter-finals, 2 semi-finals, 1 final. On 2 fields: quarter-finals 2 rounds of 2 matches, semi-finals 1 round, final 1 round, no third-place match, so 4 rounds. 4 × 15 min play + 3 × 5 min break = 75 min. The rounds start at 09:00, 09:20, 09:40 and 10:00; end 10:15. In the test run the app showed exactly these start times.
The claim link only shows the preview; you take the tournament over with your account. Then the schedule exists in the tournament. Fields, match duration, break and start time are in the settings; check the schedule before the first match starts.
Name, format and team count from the chat are part of the tournament after you take it over, not in a chat transcript you have to copy. Team names are only taken over if you named them.
After the takeover you work with the tournament software: group and knockout schedules, results, live results via QR code, helper invitations (paid plan) and the award ceremony.
Works with Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. Other MCP clients are not tested.
Demo mode is free forever: one saved tournament per tournament mode, private. Public pages and helper invitations are part of a paid plan.
“Plan a padel tournament for 12 pairs with group stage and final” — the assistant prepares name, mode and team count. The club takes over the tournament and sets fields and times.
“I need a football tournament for 8 classes in one day” — 8 teams are prepared. Helper invitations for entering results on site need a paid plan.
“A console football tournament for 16 colleagues” — team count and mode are prepared. Consoles and template settings are set in the app.
The MCP server is documented for Claude (custom connector), ChatGPT (developer mode; full MCP for Business, Enterprise and Edu on the web) and Cursor. Other MCP clients have not been tested. The step-by-step guide for each client is on the connect page.
Preparing via the MCP server needs no Turniermeister account and costs nothing at Turniermeister. Taking over needs an account: demo mode is free, paid plans raise the tournament quota (yearly plan up to 70 tournaments per year). What your AI assistant costs depends on its own plan.
The claim link is valid for 14 days; after that the preparation is deleted. Until then you can take it over at any time. If the takeover fails, e.g. because your account's tournament quota is used up or a template is not included in your plan, the preparation stays and you can take it over again after a plan change.
Team and player names are stored encrypted and only moved into your account when you take the tournament over. Without a takeover they are deleted after 14 days.
Yes. After the takeover it is a regular Turniermeister tournament: rename teams, adjust the schedule, enter results, share live. Public pages and helper invitations need a paid plan.
