In a league (round robin), each of the 8 teams plays every other team exactly once – so every team plays 7 fixtures. This results in 7 matchdays with 28 matches in total, with 4 matches running in parallel per matchday if enough pitches are available. Unlike a knockout, nobody is eliminated: every team plays the full season, which makes the league the fairest format when all participants should get as many matches as possible. The standings are sorted automatically by points (3 for a win, 1 for a draw), goal difference and head-to-head. With an odd number of teams one team has a bye each matchday – Turniermeister schedules these byes automatically.

With 8 teams there are 7 matchdays with 4 matches each. Every team plays every other team exactly once: 8 × (8 − 1) ÷ 2 = 28 matches.
Here is how the 28 matches spread across the 7 matchdays: 4 matches run in parallel per matchday before moving on to the next one. With an odd number of teams, one team has a bye each matchday.

Pure playing time depends on the number of parallel pitches and the match length. The matches of a matchday run in parallel, the matchdays run one after another. Plan extra time for breaks, setup and teardown.

Turniermeister calculates the standings automatically. The default is 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw; 2-1-0 and 5-2-0 can also be selected in the settings. Ties are resolved by the table rules you choose, such as goal difference, goals or head-to-head.

At 15 minutes per match, a league with 8 teams takes about 3 h 30 min on 2 pitches and roughly 1 h 45 min on 4 pitches – pure playing time across all 7 matchdays. Plan extra time for breaks as well as setup and teardown.
By default every team plays 7 fixtures (single round). A home-and-away round would double the number of matches to 56 instead of 28, but Turniermeister does not currently offer it as a built-in option, and the scheduling does not distinguish home and away games.
