In a league (round robin), each of the 10 teams plays every other team exactly once – so every team plays 9 fixtures. This results in 9 matchdays with 45 matches in total, with 5 matches running in parallel per matchday if enough pitches are available. Unlike a knockout, nobody is eliminated: every team plays the full season, which makes the league the fairest format when all participants should get as many matches as possible. The standings are sorted automatically by points (3 for a win, 1 for a draw), goal difference and head-to-head. With an odd number of teams one team has a bye each matchday – Turniermeister schedules these byes automatically.

How long does a league with 10 teams take?
Pure playing time depends on the number of parallel pitches and the match length. The matches of a matchday run in parallel, the matchdays run one after another. Plan extra time for breaks, setup and teardown.

What is a league with 10 teams good for?
A league with 10 teams pays off when every team should get as many fair matches as possible over the season and a single bad day should not decide elimination. It suits club leagues, company and hobby rounds as well as a group phase before a playoff or knockout stage. Placement is decided by points (3/1/0), then by goal difference and the head-to-head result on ties.
How many matches does a league with 10 teams have?
A league with 10 teams has 45 matches across 9 matchdays.
How are the standings calculated?
Turniermeister calculates standings automatically by points, goal difference and head-to-head. Wins earn 3 points, draws 1 point.
Can I create a league with an odd number of teams?
Yes! With an odd number of teams, one team has a bye each matchday. Turniermeister plans this automatically.
Can I share the standings live?
Yes! Every tournament has a public page with schedule, standings and live results – shareable via link or QR code.
How long does a league with 10 teams take?
At 15 minutes per match, a league with 10 teams takes about 6 h 45 min on 2 pitches and roughly 4 h 30 min on 4 pitches – pure playing time across all 9 matchdays. Plan extra time for breaks as well as setup and teardown.
Can I play a league with home and away legs?
Yes. By default every team plays 9 fixtures (single round). With home and away legs each pair meets twice – once at home, once away – which doubles the 45 matches. Turniermeister builds the schedule for both variants automatically.
