A multilevel knockout is a tiered KO in which – unlike a classic knockout – no team is eliminated early. All 64 teams start in the main bracket; whoever loses a match drops into a placement round and keeps playing for their exact final ranking. The entire field therefore stays in the tournament until the end, every team plays a match in all 6 rounds, and in the end every position – not just the winner – is decided fairly. With 64 teams that means 6 rounds and 192 matches in total.
A multilevel knockout with 64 teams runs over 6 rounds. In every round all 64 teams play in parallel – winners move up, losers continue in the placement bracket. That produces 32 matches per round, 192 in total.
